Currently researching in INDIA
From my experience and whole research in India i found the different causes of Infertility in India according to different regions, culture and environment. As we all aware about the INDIAN CULTURE, which always expect a kid after marriage by following the law of making their own community. But due to some major causes of Infertility most of the families terminate marriages, women abuse, social abuse.65% of the womens are surrviving from these abuse because of infertility.20% couples break their relationships,7% womens attempt suicide. The major reason is illetracy due to which they bindup the medical terms with their ownmaking superstitions,Bihar, jharkhand, westbengal, tamil nadu, haryana, rajasthan, chhatisgarh, orrisa are the main regions where the next women and men is facing infertility. But now stop thinking and visit more below:
No use of contraceptions before marriage leads to unwanted pregnancy.Hence, women bear abortion and face problems including Infertility afterwards.Abortion side effects vary from one woman to another. These side effects maybe felt for up to one month. The most common one is abdominal pain. Due to the sudden change in the normal body functions, a woman may suffer from abdominal pain. Cramping is also common with many women as soon as they abort. A woman may get feelings of nausea and this may be coupled by vomiting. Diarrhea is also one of the after effects of abortion. Bleeding is common with many women especially those who use the pill. This comes in the form of a heavy menstrual flow. Spotting may also occur at varied times after the abortion.

Abortion side effects may be more pronounced in some women than others may. There are those who will experience heavy bleeding. In some case, the bleeding may take long to go away and this calls for immediate medical attention. Other abortions may lead to septic infections, which may end up damaging the uterus, fallopian tubes, as well as the birth canal. In case of any abnormal discharge or pain, a woman is supposed to seek medical attention at once. A damaged cervix may result from an abortion. Some of the instruments used may harm the cervix. The uterine lining is also at risk of being scarred and this can be explained by the frequent and sharp lower abdomen aches. In sever cases the uterus is perforated. This is very dangerous as the woman may never be able to conceive again. Other organs may also get damaged in this process. These include the liver, the heart, and even the brain.

these are some main reasons behind women's infertility.Women's infertility is a condition where women are unable to conceive. This can affect any women of any age. This condition happens when women are not able to conceive even after having unprotected sex with her partner for a period of one year or even more. 60% of such cases are related to problems of infertility, especially in the present time. There are a number of causes that can lead to women's infertility. It is important that you go to the root cause of the problem in order to cure it.
1. One of the main causes for women's infertility is lack of ovulation. Here, the ovary is in fact unable to produce egg regularly every month thus leading to infertility.
2. There may be cases where even if the ovaries are efficient enough to produce eggs, it might not have the power for conception.
3. Having a blockage in the fallopian tube will also cause infertility. This usually happens when the route of the eggs heading towards the womb is blocked. When this takes place, the fertilized eggs will not manage to pass through the uterus.
4. There are also a few cervical problems that might lead to failure of fertility. Such condition prevents the sperm from going and mixing up with the egg thus preventing fertility and conception.
5. Endometriosis is another reason preventing conception. All women are born with a lining in the uterus. This lining usually grows within the womb. Thus, endometriosis is a condition where the lining of the uterus actually grows outside the organ.
6. In case of a few genetic problems or incompatibility, there are chances that both couples might not be able to reproduce. These are generally termed as disorder of chromosomes leading to women's infertility.
7. Cancer in the cervical area can also lead to infertility problems in women but this is type of problem that can always be cured by effective medication. In most cases, the real root causes are simply not very much clear. These are termed as non specific types of infertility.

In India Thyroid is the second strong reason behind Infertility in women. It is caused by the deficiency of iodine in daily diet.

woman having thyroid which makes her a goitre woman.Thyroid disease affects different aspects of pregnancy and postpartum health for the mother and the newborn child. There have been varied and contradicting practices with regards to thyroid disease and pregnancy. As a result a group of endocrinologists came together to publish a journal containing clinical guidelines for the management of thyroid problems during pregnancy and during the postpartum period. The creation of this group came about over a two-year period and their findings were published in the Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the August of 2007 issue. This journal represents the methods and practices of endocrinologists all over the world.
Some of the main components of that journal are being discussed below. The points bear crucial implications for women who are diagnosed with thyroid disease during their pregnancy or even at the postpartum stage. Some of the information also has a bearing on women who develop thyroid disease before they get pregnant.
Hypothyroidism & Pregnancy
The condition of hypothyroidism in a mother or an unborn child can cause serious health problems on the unborn baby. If a woman is aware of her condition as properly diagnosed hypothyroidism, she should reconsider trying to get pregnant or avoid maternal hypothyroidism altogether.
If a woman should develop hypothyroidism prior to her pregnancy and it has been properly diagnosed by a doctor or endocrinologist, her thyroid medication will need to be adjusted so that the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) level goes no higher than 2.5 prior to entering pregnancy.

Hypothyroidism is the disaese which is caused by the deficiency of iodine and disturbance in the metabolism of hormones in the body. Pitutary Gland which plays an important role in our body as Master Gland when turns to disfunctioning due to over stress, irregular diet, excess use of steriods, then it stops stimulating other glands includes our accessory gland Ovarium,Hence cause irregular mensturation,Premature rupturing of egg,Premature hair greying.

For those people who have a hypothyroid disorder, I'm sure many wonder what has caused their condition to develop in the first place. There are many different hypothyroidism causes, which is why millions of people develop this condition. The following represent five of the more common causes:
Hypothyroidism Cause #1: Poor Eating Habits. As you probably know, eating foods of poor quality can cause a lot of health problems to develop, including thyroid conditions. And this of course is a common problem, as many people consume a regular diet consisting of refined foods and sugars. Whenever you eat a refined food or sugar, it spikes up the blood sugar levels, which causes insulin to be released. This then causes the blood sugar levels to "crash", and the hormone cortisol is then released by the adrenal glands.
While eating refined foods and sugars occasionally isn't much of a problem, those who eat them frequently will continuously cause their body to secrete insulin, followed by cortisol, which over a period of months and years will put a lot of stress on the endocrine system. So over time what usually happens is the adrenal glands become weakened, and this in turn will put the body in a state of catabolism. What this means is that the body will begin breaking down.
Since the thyroid gland is responsible for controlling metabolism, when it sees that the body is breaking down, it will try to slow this process down, thus slowing the metabolic rate. In other words, it will slow down the production of thyroid hormone (thus resulting in a hypothyroid condition) in order to slow down the catabolic process.
Eating poorly can also affect the thyroid gland in other ways, as there are many nutrients that are important for proper thyroid function. And if someone isn't obtaining these nutrients through their diet or by taking nutritional supplements, their thyroid gland will malfunction. Some examples of important nutrients and minerals for thyroid function include iodine, Vitamin D, selenium, and magnesium. These are just a few examples, as there are many others that are essential for optimal thyroid health.

STRESS
stress is the most common reason behind infertility in India.85% of the womens and mens are having problems just because of stress in day to day life.
Relation between Stress and Infertility:

This can be either a yes or no question. Does stress cause infertility? It is kind of a catch- 22 question. Underlying stress can contribute to infertility. And infertility can cause additional stress that may worsen the problem in the first place. Natural factors create stress as well, such as smoking, drinking and alcohol. And stress leads to lack of sex, a key ingredient in fertility! With the many factors that can cause infertility stress, it may not exactly put you in a loving kind of a mood.
Stress can affect both men and women. There is a link between infertility and stress. Some women just experience a large amount of stress: be it work related stress, due to relationships, or pregnancy stress. This makes it difficult to ovulate properly or as frequently as normal. Stress in men can also affect abnormal testosterone and sperm levels.
Some women have low stress levels naturally, or because it is part of the treatment and the surrounding environment. Tests have been performed to show these levels. Women were measured for stress when they were preparing for in vitro fertilization. When it is time to undergo in vitro fertilization, the women who are less stressed have a higher conception rates. This is one of the reasons acupuncture has become so popular in helping reduce stress levels for women undergoing fertility treatments.
A person cannot just turn off a switch to control their stress level; though it would be a great idea if that were possible. There are simple steps that can help reduce your stress. Infertility can be stressful enough without adding any additional stress to your life. No matter what treatments you are undergoing to try to become pregnant, you can ruin that by letting stress get the better of you. Just to think that you are spending all that money and time on becoming fertile, just to have it backfire due to stress that you may have been able to control would be an incredible waste.
If your stress becomes so bad, you can always try to do some easy, relaxing exercises that may be able to change that frown upside down. You may want to try the basics at first. Make sure you are getting the proper number of hours of sleep each night. Attending a yoga class a few times a week may be just the thing to relax your mind and body and reduce stress. Or how about trying meditation? This has been known to lower the pulse and breathing rate and this in turn reduces stress. You don't even have to leave the house to practice simple meditation; you just have to find a quiet spot to quiet your mind and soul.

Stress is inversly proportional to our Appetite,as the stress increases our appetite decreases and as the stress decreases our appetite increases.Lower rate of appetite causes Anorexia and Anorexia Nervosa these both diseases are related to appetite and are controlled by mind. But both of these are acting as a silent killer for infertile patients and also causes infertility.
Anorexia also cause a disbalance in antioxidants of the body which creates adverse effects upon MALE SPERM:
1.It can decrease the sperm count.
2.It decreases the sperm motility.
3.Thyroid
4.Irritation
5.Xerostomia

Appetite is generally defined as a desire to eat. It is the one human emotional state that is quite vulnerable to many things. It is also an activity that we spend a substantial amount of time trying to control whether it's for the purpose of weight gain or weight loss. We bombard our children with this obsession, always harassing them about eating and being overly concerned when they don't eat or show signs of having an appetite when we think that they should. One must wonder if it is this obsession that has triggered the increased obesity rates now plaguing Americans. After all, we must admit that our contradictory response to this emotion has played a huge role.
Take for instance how we deal with our children's eating habits. We essentially train them to be obsessed with maintaining a "healthy appetite," telling them to eat, eat, then eat again despite their persistent protests and often very convincing rebuttals. Meanwhile, as adults we have made diet corporations a multi-million dollar industry by spending ridiculous amounts of money on appetite suppressant pills and diet meal snacks that sell us the fantastical promise of a miracle remedy for appetite curbing. The fact is, we haven't yet decided whether appetite is an angel or a demon. Nonetheless, despite our indecisiveness, from moods to weather there are many things that seemingly impact our appetite outside of our own mental discord about the matter. Let's examine a few.

Above diagram is hitting the keypoints of infertility.

Some women only become aware of their infertility when they try to fall pregnant but then find out that they cannot conceive. A lot of women don't have any infertility symptoms and others have all the symptoms and signs of infertility. Men are also affected by infertility. Their are a range of signs and symptoms that differ from woman to woman.
There are lots of different causes of infertility and if a woman is unable to fall pregnant it is a good idea to go and see her primary health care practitioner. This is especially important if a woman is unable to conceive after twelve months of trying. Both partners should visit their primary health care practitioner so both partners fertility can be investigated. Their primary care practitioner will determine if it is necessary to go and see the OBGYN or other fertility specialist.
The first possible sign of infertility might be an irregular period. This is also one of the most common signs. Now even though a irregular period might point to infertility, by itself it could also be a indication of numerous other things, not just infertility. Unexplained obesity or below average body weight, especially if coupled with a irregular period, can also be a sign of possible infertility. Woman that are severely underweight might have infertility, or are unable to carry a pregnancy full term, problems because their bodies lack the necessarily nutritional balance. Obese woman, where the obesity is linked to a hormonal imbalance, will find that there reproductive system are affected that might lead to infertility.
A big cause, not a sign, of infertility is alcohol or drug abuse. Any substance abuse will affect fertility of both the male and female partner. Alcohol and other substance abuse can harm a persons reproductive systems that in some instances might be irreversible. Even worse for some might be that they do manage to fall pregnant but then find that the development of the fetus are compromised.

When we are going to talking about Infertility in Males, 67% of the Mens refuse to have a clean checkup of their semen.Uneccessary ego, male attitude, fear of impotance, social abuse, are some of the reasons behind the refusal of tests which might cause a big social disturbance.
Break the rule and come foreward:
according to the total estimate of indian infertile patients 36.7% males are responsible.

Infertility is defined as condition in which reproductive system fails to conceive child. Couples who are not able to conceive child after one year are considered to suffer from infertility problem. Infertility is not only the problem of women males also suffer from infertility.
What is Male Infertility?
Male becomes infertile due to formation of deformed sperms. It is also possible that sperm die at initial stage and fails to reach egg. In some cases individual suffers from Azoospermia in this condition no sperms cells produced. In other conditions deformed sperms are produced or sperms die before they reach egg. In very rare cases genetic disease such as cystic fibrosis or a chromosomal abnormality is also responsible for infertility in males.
Important Facts about Infertility in Males

If you're your body is low on b12 it will decrease your chances of conception. Folic can also be taken as well. Foods like liver, and salmon has high concentration of b12 and support other benefits such as omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin A.

Above graph shows the rate of infertility in females.

Infertility is defined as inability of a couple to conceive after 12 months of unprotected sexual intercourse. It effects over 5 millions couple alone in the U. S. and many times more in the world. Because of unawareness of treatments, only 10% seeks help from professional specialist.
Here are some important statistics
A. Fertility rate : Out of one hundred healthy couple
1) Only 25% of unprotected sexual intercourse achieve pregnancy during first menstrual cycle
2) There are 20% more for each month after ward ( from the 2nd- 11th month )
3) At the 12 months, the rate of conception decreases to 8%
For those couple can not conceive after the 12th months, they are considered as infertility couple.
B. Women are born with finite number of eggs, some women have more, some are less, every month during menstrual cycle approximate thousand of eggs are mature and only one can have the chance to be fertilized by there partner 's sperm.
1) Eggs and Age
Eggs in the ovaries decreases with increasing of age
Assuming there are 150,000 follicle in the ovaries
a) Between the age of 18 - 30 around 120,000 left and this the time of optimal fertility
b) Between the age of 31-37 around 100,000 left and the fertility rate is on the downward trend
c) Between the age 38- 41 around 50,000 left and the infertility rate increases at the fastest rate.
d) Between the age 41- 45 around 10,000 left and you reach the end of fertile.
2). Infertility risk and age
a) In the late of 20 and early 30, 84 % are fertile and only 16 are infertile
b) In the mid 30 - 39 , 75 % are fertile and only 25% are infertile
c) By age 40 the 50% are fertile and 50% are infertile

Assuming the couple are healthy. Remember the older you age, the risk of reproductive organ malfunction also increase including endometriosis and fibroid.

VITRO FERTILIZATION

When a couple becomes aware that they are facing infertility issues and may need an in vitro fertilization procedure, one of the most important things they can do is choose an appropriate In vitro fertilization clinic. There are several factors involved in choosing an in vitro fertilization clinic that will fit their individual needs and help them to conceive. While some factors will depend on individual preference, others should be based upon the success rate and procedures done by the particular clinic.
Discovering fertility issues when you are trying to conceive a child can be a devastating experience. The stress of knowing that you are not able to conceive is harsh, but you can find a fertility clinic that specializes in various techniques, such as in vitro fertilization procedures. All fertility clinics are not the same. Some specialize in particular procedures while others focus on several types of infertility problems.
A large amount of couples in the United States face fertility issues. These issues can range from blocked fallopian tubes in women to severe sperm abnormalities in men. While there are several types of infertility issues that couples can face, there are also a variety of fertility treatments and a number of fertility clinics that can help solve infertility issues. Clinics that provide in vitro fertilization treatments can help couples to conceive under circumstances that might normally seem quite bleak.

IUI(Intra Uterine Insecion)

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) involves the donor sperm deposition in the uterus of the woman by other means other than the natural way. Many couples find IUI cost more affordable and the procedure is not invasive. The process is usually useful when:
• The woman has a problem with the mucus in the cervix making the environment hostile for sperms
• When the man is unable to ejaculate
• The man suffers from retrograde ejaculation. The semen instead of exiting the penis it goes back
• Infertility that cannot be explained
• The man has antibodies that work against his sperms
The IUI cost could be intimidating especially if one has no insurance. On average IUI and sperm washing cost around $200- $300. Other procedures done raise the IUI costs. They include ultra sound, blood work and fertility drugs. If you have a natural cycle, you could spend only $200 but those that are using injectables spend almost $5000 -$6000. If you want to make the process more affordable especially with no insurance, you need to find ways that you can cut the IUI costs. This may include:
• Having a supplemental insurance that would refund your expenses once you deliver
• The IRS fund one third of the total IUI cost
IRS
The costs you incur with IUI are usually tax deductable. Therefore, by offsetting what you have saved in taxes you can reduce this cost. Flexible spending account (FSA) helps one to access their tax savings on the first expenses of IUI. In addition, one is able to reduce the taxes they pay on FICA. FSA can help you to acquire a tax saving of more than one third.

Diversion of sperm

Infertility is caused by diverse factors. Men and women suffer from it. It's valuable to undergo therapy in other to tackle this unfriendly matter. There are various factors that lead to infertility in women. Some of them are common, while others are unknown. They include diseases like ovulation disorders, diminished ovarian reserve, endometriosis, and low progesterone level. STD, injury, chronic diseases, low sperm count, low sperm motility, sperm blockage and aging are some of the reasons in men.
Scheduled drugs and systematic medication can cure a good number of the aforementioned problems except aging and chronic diseases, though these treatments are quite costly and may lead to some destructive side effects. Further treatment might be needed to cure the side effects. Treatments carried out through IVF or In Vitro Fertilization and ICSI or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection is greatest amongst the other methods. Here, the egg cells outside the womb are fertilized by the sperm and then transferred inside. This treatment is however recommended having tried other techniques and they are not successful.
It is a hormonally controlled ovulation progression. It has to do with the ova being removed from the female's ovaries, which then assist the sperm to fertilize in a fluid mode. This means is somehow tedious because it involves the removal of the eggs from the ovary, fertilizing them in an outside laboratory and putting them back in the uterus.
In the natural process, the person decides to select the healthiest sperm for reproducing the egg but in the unnatural process, the embryologist takes this decision. However, if he does not succeed in choosing the most healthy sperm and egg, it may negatively affect the well-being of the baby during birth and afterward.
In order to treat the problem of secondary infertility, certain alternative techniques with a holistic approach are fast becoming acceptable. They have little or no side effects at all, hence their acceptability by various people.

Useful medicines

There are different causes for infertility this means that are there different infertility treatments. Each treatment is used depending on the cause of the problem. Different treatments can be used depending on how long a person has been infertile, the age of the infertile person, the age of the person's partner and other personal preferences. When it comes to infertility, some of the main causes cannot be corrected, that means that at times these treatments cannot be successful unless a woman undergoes treatment using assisted reproductive technology among other procedures that can be used help restore fertility.
Many times people have different stigmas or myths about sterility. Some say that women are sterile, but there are times where males are sterile also. Sometimes a man cannot produce enough sperm, there are times that the problem is not that the man cannot produce enough sperm. Sometimes men have faulty reproductive systems which do not allow them to "deliver" the sperm at the right time. The problem with the system can be in the structure and some problems can be with the mental condition of a man.
Because of the variety of infertility causes in male there are different treatments available. There are different factors that hinder fertility in males, some of these are impotence or the lack of having an erection and premature ejaculation or discharging semen and not being able to discharge the semen inside of a woman. Some treatments for premature ejaculation or impotence can be treated successfully using infertility treatments that include drugs or behavioural therapy. Some men get nervous when they are about to have sex and cannot have erections because of that. Some are scared or have unpleasant feelings when it comes to sex. While these problems can be frustrating, men who experience them might be able to work out their issues and able to have erections once they overcome their anxieties.
